Chris first played for England all the way back in 2007 and made his Olympic debut in London for team GB. Since then, he has played at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Jess Pugh 

Jess Pugh, who plays mixed doubles with Ben, is the rising star of English badminton. She is a former European junior champion, who has been competing on the Superseries circuit for the past year. Her ambition is to become world champion and currently ranks 2nd nationally for mixed doubles and 3rd for women’s doubles. 

Sean Vendy 

Ben Lane’s other doubles partner is Sean Vendy, who has won national titles at every junior age group. He was even runner-up in the European U19 Championships back in 2015! This young player has set his ambitions to win both an Olympic and World Championship medal. 

Lauren Smith 

Lauren Smith currently ranks 20th worldwide in women’s doubles and 58th worldwide for mixed doubles. She is a double National Champion, who has won medals at both the Commonwealth and European games, as well as making her Olympic debut back in 2016 at the Rio Games, alongside her teammate Heather Olver.
